In photographing life, people and places, my aim is to capture images with a lightness of touch and a sense of storytelling.

I’m drawn to strong graphic compositions in terms of light and shape, but within that graphic look I want the subject to be themselves, for a natural feel. They bring their life to the image, and I aim to celebrate and document that.

I collaborate and work closely with my subjects. And at the core, work with a love of nature, of natural light, and of portraits that look and feel natural.

In terms of long-term personal series, I photographed a series called ‘Quarterly’, about and across the seasons of one year, with a mix of portraits and details from nature, which became an exhibition at Leica Mayfair in November 2017.

Another series, ‘Our Time’, was released as a book in 2014, documenting the lives of 60 of Britain’s creative talents including Sir Peter Blake, Bella Freud, Giles Deacon, Grace Ladoja and Sir Paul Smith. The 252 page book combines black-and-white and colour portraits with observed details from our time together.

I’m based in London and am an ambassador for Leica.
